Shanna's Earings!

We let Shanna get her ears pierced. She has tried to put KD's and my earrings on for some time now. She did cry a little but instantly wanted a mirror to look! She was showing aunt Kamerin in this photo and couldn't wait to show the others when we got home from the beauty shop!!

KD's friend

Support for school!! Or love???

School Starting

KD is ready to go and to stop taking photos.
Cutie pie

Shanna and KD both are at school this year. Shanna is in her second year at Sound Beginnings and KD started Kindergarten that is in the same building as Shanna. Brock really feels alone...for the time being. He has days he likes it and days he hates it. (Poor kid)

Shanna and KD are loving school...minus KD already being mad that she can't play the computer all day and being asked to please keep all her comments (I can only imagine) to herself until the end of the day or until the teacher asks her.

Baby doctor

I found a doctor to see here in Logan.....fewwwww!

It will be convient to have a doctor so close to my home and he will be able to talk to my thyroid doctor too!

I am feeling better now that I am back on the medication. They doctor said that it will take a good month to feel completely right again. (I didn't really get back to right before I had to stop taking the medication for radiation)

KD and Brock have expressed how much they miss my mom and dad. I am sure Shanna feels the same but just can tell us yet.

I will keep you all updated and posted on the actual arrival date of baby #4.

My Kids and Aunt Dee

So, because we thought I would be un-able to take the kids while I was going to have the radiation...my mom kept them and I headed home on the 6th. Well, once the radiation got cancelled we had to think of an idea to get the kids back to Logan. Well, Heather was out at my moms and decided she would be brave and drive all 4 kids (KD, Shanna, Brock and Kohen) back to Salt Lake and I could take my three. Kamerin took this photos of the car being loaded. Yes, KD had to ride in the front. But it was a quick way to get them to me.
Heather purposely left at nap time...but none of them slept until about 20 miles from Salt Lake. Too Funny!!!

My Scar

Kamerin put this on here....
This is Christina on the 3rd at the Block party that my mom's block did for the 4th. She is healing well and here is a cool picutre of the scar!

Kamerin here...about Chris

Okay…so most of you have these details but some don’t and I didn’t want to miss anyone so here is the latest with my little sister…..

She was scheduled for radiation today. That was cancelled yesterday. Her blood test was red-flagged and radiation was cancelled. When the doctor called her to explain why (and let me tell you the wait was terrible for most) he informed her that she couldn’t have the radiation because a little baby was growing inside her. YES ..she is pregnant.

So, that kind of threw a wrench into the plan of radiation because now they can’t do it until the pregnancy is done.

What does that mean?? Well, there are pros and cons from both situations. If the radiation was done today she would be on the road to being cancer free. Now, what does waiting do the cancer? And, so on….I know lots of if’s!!

Here is the newest plan and it could change…but I am just letting you know.

They think she is due around the end of February or so. She will see a baby doctor specialist next week and have an ultra sound. Then, some planning will go into having a planned induction or c-section. She is leaning towards an induction. She will spend a few hours with the baby and then they will do the first round of radiation then. It sounds okay until you find out that the baby or most people can’t be around her for 4 days after this treatment. So, we have all called dibs on who gets to take care of the new baby. But, still thinking about Chris here….it sounds so hard to be away from a brand new baby that soon. The doctor told Chris that because this has come up a few times in his line of work….most moms say let’s wait two weeks or so and he said it is much harder on them rather than just doing it right at first.

So, at this point that is the plan. Now, some of you are asking what happened to waiting for 5 months after the delivery.(First plan of action for radiation) Well….her doctor consulted a OB/GYN that he has worked with in the past and he said it will be fine to do it immediately and her doctor said it is needed so whatever cancer is there….can be gone quickly and not given an additional time to grow or do whatever it does…..

She is due around the end of February or beginning of March and we will just get through this. She is happy that she can take her medicine today and sounds much better on the phone. Heather is taking her kids to her right now and so she mentioned that she can’t wait to see them. (The kids have been here with my mom and dad while Chris was to go through the radiation)

We will all just have to pull together and support her tons.

Oh and most people have asked if the baby is okay because she was pregnant during the first initial surgery to remove the thyroid. …. Well, for the most part yes. They will know for sure Monday but she hasn’t done anything yet that would have impacted the baby that badly. And, the funny thing is…Brock was about the same age in her belly when she had her gallbladder out. She has been there done that….so they say.

KD-Anna....more hair time with Aunt Kamerin

As you can see...Kamerin was at it again with KD's hair. (By request of KD-Anna) And, KD was good enough to take photos of the action with Kam's phone. Kamerin enjoys this time with KD-Anna more than KD knows. Mostly because Kamerin doesn't have a girl to pamper. But, KD will do just fine!

Poster Making

These are some photos that Kamerin took while she was at my house. The first couple are from the trip to the goats while I was in surgery, I guess. The kids love seeing the goats. That isn't all that is there, they have a turkey and chickens and then some other kind of goats too. There is one that is as wide as it is long.
The others are of them making a poster for me. Kamerin sure was brave to do this with the kids. Shanna was at school and added her mark to the poster later. The kids did good and as far as I can tell there was no paint left anywhere.....

Healing

How better to heal, than with two of the kids that I love! Easton and KD-Anna came to the hospital while I was there to visit. (Kamerin and Grandma left the others with Aunt Dee, Heather) The others might have been fine but they didn't want to chance Shanna and Brock having to leave their mom at the hospital and end up with a forcefull removal of the kids.
Easton and KD-Anna have a little friend who had a growth removed from her thyroid so they both referred to that as what I had done. I was very happy to see them.

KD-Anna's Hair

KD Anna wanted her hair done while I was in the hospital. She wanted to look like a mermaid. (Or so she told Grandma and Kamerin) So, Kamerin did her best which was great! (Kamerin doesn't have girls at home and isn't used to doing "girlie" hair.) At least it is better than a whale tail?

So here are some pictures from my surgery. This was like right afterwards so i was a little out of it. The tumor ended up going down into my chest and wrapping around my esophigus. I am still very sore and just can't get comfortable. My mom and sisters all came up to help, I couldn't have made it through with out them. We are all so glad that it is over with and that everything is good! What a relief!!
