IT'S A GIRL!!!

Heather here.....Leeah Jade Petersen arrived yesterday!!! She weighed 8 pounds even and was 20 inches long!! Her hair is brown with blonde highlights! She is a very good baby!! She is on that schedule where she sleeps all day and is up all night!! She got a pedicure from her older sisters today! Shanna painted the toenails on one foot purple and KD-Anna painted the other foot pink. Christina and Leeah are both doing very well! She is hoping to be going home either late tonight or tomorrow morning just depending on how things go. KD was very worried about Leeah's belly button! And Shanna told Chris that her belly was all gone now!

Another Chris Update
This is Heather this time!
Yesterday Christina's doctors all had a conference call. She got to sit in on it, she said it was pretty funny to listen to all of them argue. Anyways, a plan was finalized.....finally!! They are going to induce labor if she hasn't gone on her own by the 6th of March. She is smaller then they think she should be and with not knowing when she got pregnant they have had a hard time pin pointing a date. They are also going to hold off on the radiation treatment until summer. This will give her plenty of time to recover from the birth. It also will be easier on my mom I think. They haven't set an exact date for that yet. I think Chris was a little bummed at first. I suspect that she just wants to get the radiation over with. It sounds like her doctors are really looking out for what is best for Chris. She has also finally found a thyroid medication that she really likes. Most days she feels great!
They have also decided that they want Shanna's left ear to have an implant as well. As Kamerin mentioned, they did the CT scan on her other implant and it is working great. They think that by doing the other ear she will improve much faster. Shanna is such a trooper! She did the CT scan with out having to be sedated...and she did it perfectly! I think she will do just fine with this surgery.
Kamerin and I will try to keep all of you posted with any news.

update on Christina
It has been awhile since Christina has posted but who can blame this busy girl. So, this is Kamerin giving you the latest update on her little "journey" through a pregnancy and cancer life.
Last week Christina spent two days in and out of the doctor due to a huge kidney infection (they were shocked she was walking, it was that bad) and then a low calcium day. She gets all tingly and stuff and it has happened once before. She had to go in and have an IV of calcium. The week before that her iron was way low.
Anyways, this little guy it just taking the life out of her....notice I said guy.....yeah I think it is a boy. However she does not know yet!
They have a girl name decided...Leeah Jade. So cute!! Of course it figures that I think she will have a boy....because they don't have a name yet? They are thinking of Paxton or Braydon both with the middle name Lee. (Both Maybes at this point)
KD lost her first tooth this past weekend and my parents were there to see it. She was so proud and when she speaks to me in her 5-teen language it is priceless to hear her explain how it happened and how she got 18 quarters from the tooth fairy.
Shanna had a cat scan this past week to determine two things. The first is how is the first implant doing and second should they do the other ear. All went good and she is just getting smarter and smarter as the days pass. Now, it is just a scheduling thing.
Brock is just as big as ever and a funny kid! He loves sausage and CARS....the movie.
What a sister she is....she still keeps in touch all of the time with us and tells us how much she misses our kids. She is our hero!!
At this point they are thinking they will start Chris any time in the first two weeks of February. The hospital called her today to schedule for the 1st but she said that was news to her and is not counting on it. After the baby is born she will get the time in the hospital with the baby and then the next day start radiation in Ogden and have to stay away for 4 days.
Planning is now starting to make sure she has tons of help! But, she is the positive one and so life goes on when you talk to Chris!
